Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
